As of today, Sam Luftesticles has yet to be served the restraining order that would effectively keep him 250 yards from Britney Spears. In the meantime, he’s acquired himself a press agent, Michael Sands. Ironically, Michael Sands was a media consultant for Mark Vincent Kaplan who is Kevin Federline’s defense lawyer. TMZ reports:

Sands, who knows a thing or two about crisis management, has been brought on board by Lutfi to, as Lutfi put it to us, “set the record straight” about who he is.
Sands cryptically told TMZ, “I’m honored to work with a patriot like Sam Lutfi.” BTW, while Sands worked for Kaplan, his mission was partly to dig up dirt on Brit’s former manager.
For his part, Lutfi told TMZ, “Michael did his research and found the truth.”

Sam also called E! News yesterday to refute Lynne’s allegations that he drugged Britney. He refused to disclose his location but talked about Britney’s manic episodes and the events leading up to her last hospitalization:

R&B singer Brandy’s mom Sonja Norwood claims Kim Kardashian used her credit card to rack up a $120,000 bill in 2006 and 2007. Sonja explains to People why she waited until now to sue Kim:

“I did not want to commence litigation against the Kardashian family without conducting an exhaustive investigation into the charges and discussing all options, including criminal prosecution, with my family.”

Brandy’s mom also gave Kim and her siblings the opportunity to settle the matter out of court:

“After Ray J and Brandy urged me not to file criminal charges because of their prior friendship, I decided to afford the Kardashians an opportunity to resolve this matter without a lawsuit,” Norwood said. “When the fraudulent charges were brought to their attention, they apologized profusely, and advised us, through their attorneys, that they would pay the debt in full. However, they have since reneged on that promise.”

Britney Spears’ dad (above) is on the offensive ever since Britney was released from the hospital yesterday. After her release, Britney went to the Beverly Hills Hotel where Adnan Ghalib met her. Jamie Spears showed up with court documents and decided he want to land some verbal kickass on Adnan’s chin landing strip. The Daily Mail reports:

Following a conference with hotel security, Mr Spears entered Britney’s room to remind her she was still under conservatorship, and told Adnan: “You′d better be paying for the room”.
By the end of the day, Britney, her father and Adnan were all at the singer’s home, where they spent the night.

Apparently Britney’s dad is planning to set up camp at Britney’s mansion. Living with your dad isn′t so bad. Mine lives with me. Well, okay, it’s more like I live with him and my mom. They make me sleep in a cupboard under the sink which kind of prohibits my romantic endeavors. The last chick I managed to get in there (Jagermeister, I heart you.) got all freaked out when my mom turned on the garbage disposal. I thought it was romantic. She thought it was a sign to toss S.O.S. in my eyes. Fortunately I was wearing my Brillo pad sleeping mask.

Paris Hilton received the Harvard Lampoon magazine’s “Woman of the Year” award yesterday. Paris visited the prestigious school and greeted the crowd by saying “Harvard is hot!” She gave a brief speech then decided to show off her comedy chops. The AP reports:

Hilton, who arrived an hour late for the festivities, told the crowd of about 100 people who greeted her that her “Simple Life” co-star Nicole Ritchie was with her, then added: “Just kidding.”

Ha! Did you see what she just did there? She said Nicole Richie was there. But then she really wasn’t! ROFLMAONKOTB! *wipes tear from eye* Phew, I haven’t laughed that hard in ages. But, really, tell the campus police to open fire now. Watch out for her knees though. They shoot acid.

Britney Spears′ release from UCLA Medical Center has many people scratching their heads. It turns out that a court-appointed lawyer stepped in and decided that Britney was no longer a danger to herself and others. People reports:

The procedure calls for a hearing at the hospital to find out whether the hold is justified. The rep for the court, called a “hearing referee” – who is usually a lawyer – interviews the patient and doctor to determine if there’s “just cause” for detainment.
“This is when law and medicine collide,” says attorney Terry K. Wasserman, who’s not involved in the Spears matter, “when a lawyer can override a doctor’s opinion.”

Britney Spears’ parents are obviously none-too-thrilled and issued the following statement last night to the media:
